Abbott Point of Care Employees Invest in Ground Breaking Emergency Medicine Research
Once again, Abbott Point of Care has teamed up with The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) in support of emergency medicine. Each year, Abbott Point of Care employees generously donate to TOH and participate in a variety of fundraising activities, including hat days, sports shirt days, bake sales, and much more. This enthusiastic team has gone above and beyond in their philanthropic efforts to support TOH.
This year, they exceeded their fundraising goal and raised over $48,000 for emergency medicine research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI). Safer drugs, better diagnoses, faster and more accurate assessment of life-threatening injuries are just some of the ways researchers at the OHRI are improving patient care and safety. The OHRI has been conducting internationally regarded emergency medicine research for over 20 years and is grateful for community support from companies such as Abbott Point of Care.
Thank you Abbott Point of Care for your outstanding support of TOH and for bringing world-class care to Ottawa’s emergency rooms!
