NavPoint employees support cancer care with the White Coat Challenge

NavPoint has joined a select group ofOttawa area businesses who have teamed up to form the 2012-13 White Coat Challenge. This team is collectively raising $150,000 to purchase new computer software for the CyberKnife; the world’s first and only robotic radiosurgery system, offering pain-free, non-invasive treatment for cancer patients.

Thanks to the support of NavPoint and the White Coat Challenge, this new software will:

  • reduce radiation treatment times by roughly 30%
  • potentially increase the number of Cyberknife patients seen annually by 50%
  • mean faster treatments for patients, allowing their life to return to normal more quickly

Thank you, NavPoint for helping to improve the lives of patients undergoing cancer treatment at The Ottawa Hospital.
